Why Urban Edge?
My professional goals align with UE’s mission, to improve shopping centers in urban communities. The Development team takes a thoughtful approach to our projects, as we strive to create stakeholder value. Helping to deliver this value keeps me constantly motivated.
The teamwork and camaraderie across departments is unlike anywhere else I’ve worked. If someone doesn’t know the answer, they will help you find someone who does, which is something I really appreciate and have made part of my personal work ethic. If there is someone new to the company that is seeking help from me, I will try to find them an answer even if it is not my area of responsibility, since I had multiple people do that for me when I first started.
Coming from Public Accounting and traveling to multiple clients with different teams over the years, I was seeking more stability and a company that embraced a “family” culture while also providing the opportunity to challenge myself and continue to grow professionally. Once I interviewed, I knew Urban Edge was that place, and 4+ years later it still is.
My favorite thing about the culture at UE is the collaboration between different departments. Not a single deal gets done from point A to Z without the help and communication of Legal, Property Management, Construction and Lease Administration.
Urban Edge has a great growth mindset and is always looking to build community both internally and externally. Whether it’s expanding professional training, wellness, and DEI programs for the team; growing the business; improving our properties; or participating in volunteer efforts, collaboration and evolution are always in mind.
