Urban Edge utilizes Mallcomm, a tenant engagement platform, to streamline communication, security, and management of our properties. Accessed via a smartphone app, the technology provides our tenants with instant alerts and emergency information in the event of a crisis or major incident. The platform also centralizes operational communication, marketing updates, and more. This allows tenants to receive real-time updates, access procedural documents and fast-track maintenance requests.

Tenant Criteria Manual

The company offers a tenant criteria manual focused on ESG that serves as a guideline for tenants undertaking construction projects within our properties. The manual outlines specific criteria and requirements to ensure that tenant construction aligns with sustainable practices and contributes to our ESG objectives and sustainability goals. The manual is focused on energy efficiency, water conservation and sustainable materials.

Tenant Construction

The Urban Edge Tenant Construction team handles each project with a tailored approach, logistics plan, and schedule. We support tenants throughout the entire process of opening a new or renovated space, including:

  • Planning, permitting, scheduling, and inspections
  • Construction
  • Storefront criteria
  • Signage
  • Receipt of final Certificate of Occupancy

Upon completion of construction, our team ensures a successful opening by working closely with store management to complete a pre-opening checklist, milestone tracking, and tenant training and compliance.
