General Purpose of Job/Summary:
Urban Edge Properties is a NYSE listed real estate investment trust focused on owning, managing, acquiring, developing, and redeveloping retail real estate in urban communities, primarily in the Washington, D.C. to Boston corridor. Urban Edge owns 73 properties totaling 17.2 million square feet of gross leasable area.
The successful candidate will assist the Senior Vice President of Asset Management - Property Operations and other members of Urban Edge Properties management of Sunrise Mall and other owned assets. The individual in this position must be detail-oriented, organized, able to work with people inside and outside the company at all levels, diligent regarding confidential matters and able to work independently. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and excels at remote coordination and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative, clerical, and secretarial support to the SVP of Asset Management and assist with departmental needs as assigned.
- Responsible for tracking and reporting utility usage (electric, gas, water) across all owned assets to support sustainability and cost-efficiency goals.
- Help collect data for the organization’s Corporate Responsibility initiative and prepare materials for internal and external reporting.
- Coordinate the collection and submission of documentation to consultants for resolving property violations.
- Ensure that documentation is up to date for regulatory compliance related to NYC Local Laws and other municipal regulations.
- Monitor and administer contract services and vendor supply agreements; track expiration dates and notify SVP of Operations 60 days in advance of contract expiration.
- Collaborate with the SVP and property managers on the creation of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for services and capital projects.
- Process vendor onboarding requests, contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and travel & expense (T&E) reports.
- Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly property-level P&L variance reports.
- Organize and maintain digital filing systems for contracts, correspondence, and operational documents.
- Foster and maintain positive and professional working relationships with tenants, vendors, consultants, public officials, and the broader business community.
- Process incident reports and coordinate with insurance providers/consultants and risk management teams on claims handling.
- Assist in the development and administration of annual operating and capital improvement budgets.
- Maintain a general understanding of lease terms, easement agreements, construction contracts, service agreements, and purchase orders.
- Prepare and send tenant notices as needed.

Education/Experience
- Minimum of High School diploma; Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years relevant work experience.

Compensation:
- Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000
- Eligible for discretionary bonus
